Mallorca Island (Spain) -what is there to do ✈️

Here's what you need in life; A beautiful Mediterranean beach, some good tapas, and some bomb ass cava/sangria. If you crave these three elements just like I do, Mallorca Island is the place to go. Here's my review and hope you feel like you want to go for a cute get away and mingle with Spanish boys.  (in my case, Chilean boy lol )

Where is Mallorca Island?マヨルカ島はどこにある?

I think a lot of you heard of Ibiza right? where all the boos and parties are at. Mallorca Island is close to Ibiza. I flew in from Scotland, Edinburgh, but it was only a 2 hour flight. Once if your already in Europe, it's so accessible to just hop on a plane and go.

Where did we stay?/宿泊場所

The main city is called Palma. The city of Palma is like a 30minute drive away from the airport but since we were a big group of about 8 people, we rented a big house in an area called Sant Jordi. This place was only like 15 min away by car from the airport but SO SO not a tourist area. It's VERY random lol but just like I said, there was a huge house affordable for 8 people but it was a bit inconvenient when you want to walk around for food or drinks since there's just house.
This was our Air bnb and damn it was gorgeous. It had 5 rooms and 3 bathrooms with a big terrace.

How was the weather? /お天気は?

We went there in May, and to be honest, it was a bit too cold to jump into the water or even the pool. (even though, I ended up doing so lol) It also was rainy sometimes so even thought it is an inland, it still was a bit cold if you are looking for swimming suite weather.

How did we moved around?/移動手段

Since we were already a big group of about 6 people, we wanted to rent a car and drive around different parts of the island. Renting the car for 4 days, and divide it with 6-8 people, it was only like 3000yen or so.

What's there to do?/マヨルカ島でできること

Obviously, I'll write about what i ate on a separate column but there is a lot to do in Mallorca. We had 3 nights and 4 days here, but we did both beachy things and also sight seeing things.

Calo des Moro

A place called "calo des moro is the most Mediterranean beach you would love to go to!!
put your swimsuits on, bring some wine and jump in when you feel hot

Can you believe how blue the water is!?

while your on the way to the beach, there's huge houses that are totally empty. I think
it's for summer homes I guess? but they were huge!

Aloe girl out here healing my constant sunburn

So you are able to go into the water, but it's really cold... lol

Cuevas del Drach/ドラック洞窟

As for activity wise, we also went to this cave. It was so so gorgeous.
The cave is about an hour away from the main city, Palma.
As you can see, the entire island is quite small, but we decided to rent a car for this trip so it was really easy to coast around the scenic view and also enjoy the ride. I will definitely recommend getting a car if you want to see different parts of Mallorca.

As you walk along the massive stalactite cave(鐘乳石) for about 30-40min. (you will be in the cave for a while. ) you will reach to a point where there's a huge lake at the end. To think there's a lake inside the cave is insane! and there's a seating place for people to sit and look towards the lake, and literally a classical music performance will start right in front of you! Isn't that so crazy?! I wish I could show photos but unfortunately we weren't allowed to do so, but since it's a natural cave, it's pitch dark, and there are people performing on the boat that is lit up with cute lights, and people are playing the violin on top of the boat. It was such a magical experience and it was really beautiful.
After wards, I had my share of ice cream and I guess I was happy?

the stalactites were so massive!
We were so hungry after wards (I can't say why in depth but let's just say while were in the cave, we were feeling good~~ haha) so we went to burger kind near by and grabbed some food and then drove back home to decide on dinner!

I guess since we spend a lot of time at each spot, we weren't able to check more beaches like we wanted to, but as you can see, we have our long shirts on, so it was a bit too cold for that anyways.

Now that you know what's there to do, now FOOD and DRINKS!
